Default all clear tail lights for the 97-01 cr-v

i've been looking for a set of all clear tail lights for the 1st gen crv's. if anyone has any leads that'd be great.

i've actually found new sets for sale on taiwanese ebay. but it's not exactly ebay so i can't use my login and without a taiwanese id, you cannot sign up. not to mention i feel like shipping will be in the hundreds.

i know the lights were available in the us, and a few web sites still have pictures of them up, but seems they are all out and otherwise unavailable.

depo shows them as being in production but not available in the us. anyone importing depo lamps??

I found some on eBay a couple years ago and bought them. Meh on the quality, but I guess you probably assumed that :p

Best bet is probably eBay or YJP.

edit: just found this place, have you contacted them?

a couple years ago?? that gives me hope.

yeah that's the first google search result. i've exhausted all internet search engines. that particular company is in business but under another name and they don't have any and can't get them.

if the ones you got were like the ones i remember in the nineties, meh quality is about right. brand new, first trip in the rain and they're fish bowls lol! but man i miss them, reminds me of better times. that's why i'd like to have a set.

Haha, that's so funny. I feel the same way about the clear tails...I was a closet fan back when the Altezzas and body kits were popular.

But, they honestly don't look that great on the CRV IMO...

Here's the ones I got back then and tinted black because the clear looked really wierd (old pic):

It has OEM tails now, and the quality is just beyond comparison, haha

Do you by any chance remember how you tinted your tails?

VHT niteshade for tinting tails. Shipping would be ruffly 80-100 bucks from Taiwan. I would check the legality of clear tails because they are illegal just about everywhere!!!
