Just curious....

What do you guys do? I think the stock B18B TB size is 60mm, not 100% sure on that though. I was suggested to bore out to 64mm-68mm

Post up your opinions...

 

stock throttle body sizes :

B18A/B18B = 58mm
B18C1 = 60mm
B18C5 = 62mm

They can bore your throttle body over 4mm so with a stock 58mm throttle body you can get it to 62mm same size as the type R


I had one done from http://www.proflowdesign.com looks stellar ... and i have another one getting done at the moment ... here is a pic

 

how much does it cost to bore it out? would it be worth it to get a Type-R TB and bore that out to 68?

 

I guess you didnt read or add one or the other (; jk man ... but the guy at portflow says he cant take them any more than 4mm over so a type R is 62+4 = 66mm but i seriously think a Type R throttle body does not bolt up and work fine on a B18B...

the bore ... new throttle plate .. and recalibrating the sensor is $140 at portflowdesign ... send him a couple gaskets too and hell trim them to the new bore size as well for free

 

how bout matching the intake mani?
