Default opinions on suspension techniques

the local shop told me good stuff about suspension techniques, but im askin you HT members whats your point of view. im interested in the front and rear sway bar combo on a 92 CX for $250 @ summitracing.com. anyone else selling it cheaper? also i heard the rear would be suffiencnt enough. becauase the fronts would create understeer and cancel the rear ones out, this true?

i have an eg coupe and i went with the st front bar, its good... same exact shape as stock just thicker. however, i didnt get the st rear b/c i decided on the itr bar, but due to shipping problems it didnt come till 2 weeks after i put on the front bar, so i was underseering like crazy and it put alot of wear on my front tires. i would advise against just doing a rear bar though, i think youd spin. i didnt go w/ the st rear cause i heard bad things about the mounting and exhaust clearence, so if you can put the itr bar on, go for it.

ST rear swaybar is fine. It may not be as stiff or as effective as the type R, but it requires a LOT less work to make it fit and not tear out th subframe. Considering it was featured on Adrian Teo's Civic (the poster child for the Hybrid board), I purchased it, and have been happy with it ever since. A pic of Adrian's is in order.

st rear is hella sweet.... and depending on your spring rate. you may still have a chance to tear your subframe...
