My buddy at the local shop has these (pistons) for 300. I was thinking of picking them up. Would they work well w/ the skunks ? I belive my compression will be 11:3.

Another question, would it be worth while to instal the pistons before the cams ?

Anyone have experience w/ this set ups.

yea, they work really well..i have a set of spoon jdm itr pistons and they worked really well with my toda spec b's. im actually selling them..they're on gsr rods..they're standard bore (81mm). sure, install them before u get the cams..it wouldnt hurt, just bump your compression..u should be able to feel it on the butt dyno. btw the ones i have have ~15k on them..they're on shot peened gsr rods, everything is balanced, no carbon build up at all, and im including arp rod bolts and of course the piston rings. this setup was good for 9k rpm+.

 

i have usdm pistons in my GSR, really improves the torque and drivability by itself. I recommend it if you're not going to go turbo, or as in my case, want to prevent yourself from boosting it
