Hello Honda-Tech...noobie here! So long story short i drive a 06 civic coupe ex auto and my buddy toasted my engine. My car had a 130000 miles so its been used but I am getting money to replace my motor plus more for other damages and im not sure what to do. I would like to do a k20/k24 replacement but it seems it will be spendy from what i read.. not sure how much replacement money i will be getting but im trying to make the best out of my bad situation. Any ideas, also thinking replacement money + sell my ****ed up car which is just blown motor and smashed front bumper + more money for a used 06 si??

 

Put the same motor back in. Plug and play

 

Well yea thats most likely the best idea but if i can get more out of my car for a little extra dough... like a more fun motor i would like to do that.

Yea i like that idea the most to but i have no idea who would buy a car with a blown motor or how much its worth.

expect to spend an easy $5k+ to get everything in and running

 

I think those cars in decent condition are worth roughly 6,000 60 6,500 dollars (could be wrong though). So one with a blown motor, depending on the cost to replace the engine, I think would sell for 3-4 thousand at the most. Some people would definitely know better but that's just what I think
