Default Wiring '96-'98 fog lights to headlight switch?

Is there a way to wire fog lights to the headlight switch? Recently (as in 5 minutes after I finished installing) my switch decided to blow up and the company I bought from won't take returns unless it's original condition, which it's not since it blew up so is there a way to wire a ek square fog light to the headlight switch? I saw the one for the 1999-2000 civics and I don't know if the same applies.
Wire as in fog lights turning on when the headlights are turned on, off when lights are off, etc.

Why do you not just get a new switch?

Mostly because it would be convenient to have your fogs turn on right when you turn on your headlights instead of having to turn on your headlights and press the switch.. And I saw the OEM Honda switch and the connectors are different than eBay fog lights

Not a wise idea to add an extra load to the stock headlight switch as you could burn that switch and melt wires within that circuit, Just try to get your hands on an original Honda fog light switch.

take the wire that provides the fogs with power, splice those wires with the headlamp wire.. (the one that has voltage when the headlights are on). run the ground for the fogs to a good ground.

That was my thought as well.

I have included a wiring diagram of the best way to wire your fog lights to your headlight switch, the spst switch would be replaced by your fog light switch but wiring it would be the same, then you splice into your headlight switch which in your vehicle would be the red/wht wire in the steering column. this setup will make your fog lights work with your headlight switch, fog lights are on with the low beams, but turn off when you turn on your high beams, this is how most vehicles with factory fog lights would be wired.
