hey guys, i have a ej8 and from what ive been searching, i believe that the intake resonator is the little U-shaped tubing thing that's on the far left of the engine bay..? would i be able to take it off if i currently have an aftermarket SRI installed? it looks a bit cramped. knowing that i dont have the stock airbox anymore, would there be anything negative by doing so? sorry hahaha, i'm a bit new to scene

You won't hurt anything by removing the tubing you're describing. There are no sensors attatched.

 

Take it out. It does nothing now.

what about mudflaps, on/off? my cars lowered and the fronts are hella close to the floor.
do they really protect from rocks coming up hitting the sides?

 

Yes, they do provide some protection for the paint.
