Default Need advise on buying Integra

My little brother is looking to buy a car soon, I'm looking at EG hatches ( thats what I have) and Integras for him. I had a question on integras; I'm looking at 93-98 about and was curious on miles and what not is 180k too much or just about decent? It will just be a DD wont be built unless he lets me mess with it haha. any advise on what is good would be help full, thanks!

Just look for something clean and taken care of. Chance are if it was owned by some young guy it's been driven pretty hard. Remember 180k they are ready for a timing and water pump change.

If you like it , buy it . I bought mine 95 , it was clean from the insdie , outside as well , a broken climate and handle, got replaced right away , if doesn't have something major go for it .

My car had b20 engine , I tested it before buying , it was fast , a rocket , engine start to smoke after the 4th day of purchase , it was on late 160k , don't depond on miles. If you are going for upgrades and future tuning , expect to replace engine at any time. ( that goes for any car in general)

If it's automatic for daily use , take for a checkup.

Some young guys take good care of their cars , anyone selling a car , highly possible it has something wrong , so expect a few fixes :p
The hatchback is much of fun , they have alot of things to do with check ebay.
Goodluck.

Compression test, leakdown test if you have too. Look for rust (wheel arches, trunk mostly). Clean body, clean interior, well maintained engine. Test drive it.

Depending on there price (check with kbb), you should be able to make a decision after doing all the above.
