Default **** Need help **** CRX with B18 & Cable GSR Trans clutch arm help

As the title says, I have a CRX that is B18 swapped and I am just wrapping up my build which I have posted here in this forum.

I need some help with some tranny/clutch arm issues. I have installed a sprung 6 puck clutch with OE flywheel in my GSR trans. All bolted up fine... great! The issue now is when trying to put on the clutch cable. The clutch arm on the trans does not move up enough to get the cable in the bracket. The arm is moving like an inch max (physically grabbing it with my hand and moving it) and I have adjusted the cable out as far as possible. When I was at a junkyard, I was able to move the clutch arm on an Integra with just my hand... I traveled a good amount... mine does not do this. My clutch arm does not move much which I attributed originally to the beefy clutch I have in there. Anyone else had this issue? I am assuming a couple things or asking:

1: Arm does not move because of beefy clutch? If so.. on to #2
2: How do I get the clutch cable on there? (Adjusted all the way... Tried my CRX Clutch cable and a cable that was aftermarket for an Integra, neither give me enough slack to get the cable on the arm and in the bracket)
3: Am I using the wrong cable? Is a 90- 93 Integra cable required? My CRX one looked just like the aftermarket one I bought that was supposed to be for Integra. I had the same issue with both when trying to fit it.
4: Is my bearing messed up or jammed causing the arm not to move as needed?

I really do not want to have to take the trans back out if all possible. Any ideas would be great. I saw some old threads when I Google searched but it did not really address my issue directly.

im going to guess its because of the new clutch... Possibly a jack with a part of wood to protect the arm.. are you sure you ran the cable correctly?

Yeah... cable is run correctly. I had read about peeps using a block of wood and putting a jack under it..... just does not sound quite like a good idea. Sounds like a good way to break the arm off. Anyone actually tried this?

No matter what clutch I've used I've never had to force it, just take that trans back out and make sure everything is 100% put together correctly. Do you really think if you have to jack up the arm just to string the clutch cable that the cable is going to stay together under thousands of uses....

this just happened to me. i think i installed and took out the trans maybe 3-4 times before figuring out the problem...and yes i am guilty of jacking the arm up to install it, but didn't help when trying to start it...highly advise against doing such things

I had changed out the clutch to a stage 3 6-puck clutch and put my LS trans on with no problems. Put my old B16 trans on and had the issues the OP is describing. Thought it was the way I put it on and that wasn't the problem. Figuring it was the clutch release bearing we switched it out with the one on the LS and wala, worked fine. The problem was that the release bearing on the LS was like 2 mm thinner. Was weird b/c I had both transmissions on my B16b with an excedy oem replacement clutch with no incident. I plan on taking the bearing from the B16 up to autozone to see if it is different or the same as a new 90-93 DA bearing.

Bearing on the left is from the LS, B16 on the right…noticeable difference
