97 civic dx - Why does gas meter in cluster change when making turns?
the car spec:1997 Honda civic dx with a d16y7. my gas meter cluster go down when i go right turn on corner while it go down then left turn it go up. i wonder there a fuel filter issue or something i can learn more about how to maintenance on my car from out of shape or dont want to affect my mpg go down? excuse my sentence and can i get a cruise control for my car, too?
That happens to me too but i think its just the gas moving around nothing to really worry about I'm sure and yes you can get cruise control you just gotta go to a place that installs it and ask I'm sure.
Once my car gets the half tank mark, it does the same things on turns. It reads true once driving straight again or stopped. I wouldnt worry.

You don't have a problem -- it's normal for our Civics.

To further what Ron said, our cars use a float to measure the level of gas in the tank. So when you turn, the gas swishes to one side and the float will register that. I used to trip the heck out of all my friends by saying 'holy crap look I just burned a 1/4 tank taking that turn!'
i see.. that might be normal for our honda car have that float to measure our gas. im surprised. i almost thought there would be a issue. but it turned out its normal for you guys? i suppose. least you guys helped me saving my money from spending, lol. its time to get a new tires for my car... oh right one more question. 96 to 00 have hard time driving on hills? or its just normal due to manual transmission?
