what type of welder should i use to fill in holes in my engine bay?

Icon2 what type of welder should i use to fill in holes in my engine bay?

i am wanting to shave my engine bay and was wondering if i should use a mig welder or something else to do it?

mig is fine. weld in pre cut plugs for larger holes and use a copper backing and fill smaller holes with wire. up to you.

buy some sheet metal and cut your own. and ive found it easier with a 110 mig. some 220's i have used even on low settings sometimes difficult to use with the thin stuff under the hood especially if your a novice

definitely mig and a copper welding spatula to back it up as was stated. You can still fill pretty decent sized holes with a spatula.
