Default Question for guys running up pipes

For the guys running up pipes through the hood, what are u guys using for heat protection around the hood where you cut the hole? Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated

just make a templet out of something u can trace the hole onto...then get a sheet of whatever material you decide to make it out of anf cut it out....

Yea. Just cut it yourself, drill, and rivet. I think if you have the pipe actually exit the hood (not flush cut, or sitting slightly below the hood surface), youll have less problems. Ive practically melted my CF hood, because it was sitting slightly below flush. I dont think its the pipe. Its more so the flames and exhaust gas.
