Default occasional reverse grind?

hey guys i have a question. did some searching and didn't find much plus my case is a little different.

i've got a brand new stock vx trans from synchrotech a month ago. Every now and then i get a very slight grind going into reverse but not always. the trans i had in before this new one did the EXACT same grind. so i feel like it may be something else causing it. maybe some sort of misalignment somewhere. motor mount out? car was hit in the passenger fender as well but i don't think it did any frame damage.

won't have any time to call synchrotech until thursday and i wanted to see what you guys had to say about that.

i'll probably just have to live with it and continue the shift to 2nd before putting it into reverse just to avoid the grind as much as possible

thanks guys

every honda in the world has this probelm i have it to hahah...well not every honda buy alot alot alot. its becuase our reverse gear is sycronized and if your in neutral and try to go to reverse you might get a grind b/c the iput shaft is spinning faster then the gear to slow it down put the car in 2nd for a few seconds then go to reverse.

That's pretty normal. If you read the owners manual Honda will tell you to either wait a few seconds after depressing the clutch before shifting into reverse, or shift into another forward gear first. Usually though if you shift into reverse when you're still ever so slightly rolling ahead it will drop right in.
