No it was not fiberglassed it is vinal and was not hard to do. I was going to use fiberglass in the tire well but I wanted to see how it would come out with out the fiberglass first and it sounds great.
It sounds great!! I just used some dynamat at the bottom about 4 feet of it the only rattling I get is from my wing but I need to tighten it because it's kind of loose.

thats hot man!! I downloaded the mpeg and it sounds nice. I have a nice speaker set up on my computer..... Altec Lansing Ultimate 621 and the bass sound great. How did you get the bass to actually register on the microphone of that camera you use??? Must have been pretty good... most of the time you wont get the low freq. subs give off just a little bmmmm, if you know what i mean! Let me know what camera you used to film the mpeg! Great setup! I want to get a Hatch and i think i might try that approach!
i was thinking about the kicker amp, 1 channel 1200 watts, but i may get the fosgate bd1500....hehe 1500 watts mono..
well see though, i still have a long way. thanks for the compliments

no prob man! I hope to get an EK in february. Engine swap and what not is still up in the air. But i do know that i will have atleast [2] 12's in it. Either that or [3] 10's. JL Audio all the way because i love the way they sound. I will probably use the new W3v2, but who knows... $$$ dictates everything!
LOL with all the weight you'll be adding in stereo equipment you'd better swap a ******* v8 in there because I don't think even a 2.3L could haul all the stuff you have
its basically all fiberglass. i used fiberglass resin to pour the bottom and mounted the squares up with hot glue, and covered the thing with fleece. then i resin the fleece, this conforms to the shape its in and then bondo to sand to smooth.
im still working on it. so theres a long way to go. no time for anything...

You really don't have to use fiberglass in the wheel well, you just have to use some sort of sound deadening on it ex. dynamat, rubberized compound. And make sure you seal it up real good so there are no air leaks or it will sound distorted.
its not in the wheel well. this is in the rear storage area of the del sol. i had to make the bottom of the box so resin was used and fiberglass mat. dynamat or sound deadening is only if it rattles like krazy, and i wont know till i put the subs in.
