Default GSR has a ticking noise?

Ok, so I got this car about 3 weeks ago. It has a ticking noise to it, and I was told that it was a "sticky lifter" when I swapped cars. I drove the car before the trade and it did/still drives amazing, besides this annoying noise that it keeps doing. When I start the car the noise isn't really there, but when the head gets warmed up, that is really when the ticking comes in. I took the valve cover off and the inside looks really clean. I also got some CD2 and put in it because it was for sticky lifters and noisy heads and such, but it is still making the noise. Any help of what this may sound like to you, and if it is a sticky lifter think I need to go changing lifters and such out? Thanks in advanced.

Check/adjust valves. These cars don't have lifters.

hold a screwdriver, like a stethoscope, to each injector. see if the noise is coming from one of them. if not, try checking valve lash. however, valve lash usually ticks more when cold, and lessens when warm. but check anyways. if it's within spec, probably lma's

Get a valve adjustment and see if that fixes the problem. Any local shop can probably do it.

I would really help if you can make a video of the noise and post it. That way we can verify what the noise is.

sounds like lash or a weak spring in an LMA

when were the valves last adjusted? should try and do it every 50k or so

Lol, I haven't thought anything about them not having actual lifters.. Was just going off what the guy told me and haven't thought anything else about it.

It happens lightly while cold, but when it warms up it is more noticeable, it goes away and will come back and keeps going on down the road.

The guy had the head worked on at a local shop, I am unaware the rest, that is all I know.

It is just one tick, not anything too outrageous. Just gets annoying to have, I am hoping it isn't the LMA, but if it is how much does that usually run on getting? I haven't had to deal on the LMA's before. Valves I also hope it isn't, but if so I will just end up upgrading the stuff in the head.
