Sparco Torinos - Warranty'd
As a lot of you have seen in person, my red Sparco Torinos have some pretty drastic sun-fading. I expected some sun-fading to occur over time...but not within 9 months.
I finally received word today that Sparco will be replacing the Torinos under warranty.
The following three images are VERY LARGE close-up images of the faded area next to a piece of unfaded Sparco material I had left over from when we recovered the door cards, etc...

Here's a smaller sample of the fading (notice the upper shoulder bolstering).
While I have *no other complaints* with the Torinos, I must advise people to be very careful when ordering them in red. If you park in the sun, they'll probably end up like this very quickly.

its good that sparco is replacing them under warranty. how did u get them to replace it? does the waranty work for al the other seats they make or no? thanks nice car BTW
i'm uncertain if sparco will replace them with a different color. if they will, i'll prolly do black or gray. unfortunately, that would also mean redoing all the other matching red upholstry (we used the same red Sparco jacquard material on everything else, too).
if i get another red pair, they'll likely stay in the boxes in my basement unless we're doing a photo shoot, racing the car, or showing the car.
sparco has been very helpful throughout this and has stated that this is *not* a trend that they're aware of yet. they've had few complaints about the red jacquard material. maybe my pair was just a fluke.
- edit -
no, i don't get to keep this pair...they're going to send them to italy to be examined at the factory so they can try to correct the problem on future seats.
i'm editing this to reply to the post below this, because this stupid forum software is not permitting me to post more than FIVE posts per day. WTF?!?!?!? how ghey is that?
