Lag?? please help 1st and 2nd lag.
Question Searched for this but everyone seems to have a different problem.
I just swapped in a d16y7 with less mileage into my EK hatch.
The car was constantly throwing out code 14 IAC.
I did the following procedures -
Removed TB and IAC - Cleaned out both
Checked for Vacuum Leaks - Found 2 - PCV Valve and the one for a Air Flow Sensor
.. still threw out code 14 and would rev from 500 to 800 when hot (after I tapped the gas when fully hot)
Ended up Replacing the IAC with a Brand New one (this also ended up being bad) so I cleaned out the original one with a slim wire brush and tb cleaner and the actual magnetic sensor with Electronic spray.
The Idle went down significantly after this change and the problem went away it sounded great!
But ...I still had one problem that I was having is that its still lagging when I launch from 1st and 2nd also when I'm rolling and go down to 2nd gear it would lag and feel like im going up hill.
After this I changed the spark plugs since they were done and I thought this would help but nope still lagging
I took the car out even with the lag to a highway and ran the car hard thinking that the check engine light would turn on but no the car stayed steady but the lag is still there
Is this still a vacuum leak? TB? Sensor? Exhaust pressure (Old motor was burning oil and most of it did get out while driving) ?
any ideas? any suggestions?
