Alright... I swapped a y8 head onto my zc block and its running but not right... Don't have much power and seems like the timing is probably off.

I'm running it with my a6 dizzy and ecu till I get the ecu harness. Can you get this setup to run smooth? Or is it gona be like this till i get the ecu jumper? Already got the dizzy harness but the dizzy won't work till I swap ecu.

Any info appreciated

 

id check ur timming. proli the belt. duzz matter what dizzy you have have as long as its multi-port (a6-z6 dizzy) might need to get a chip to run a proper program.

 

Got a y8 belt. I assume the cam still needs to line up with the head at tdc

 

Still can't get it running right. Best I can get is advanced I assume (loud *** intake) if I pull the belt off the cam wich way should I turn the cam to retard? Twords the radiator or firewall? Also which way on the dissy is adv/ret?

 

Zc block y8 head. Assume the cam gear is the same as an a6 but not sure. Came off a 16v non vtec head but was dated 95 so its not a a6
