Default 36mm 5lug on ek automatic need help please

I have a 96 cx hatch that is automatic and i installed my jdm 36mm 5 lug conversion. I was told that i could just swap the outer cv axel hub from the 36mm axel on to the d16 auto axel but when i did the d16 axel is to small just spins inside of the 36mm outer hub. So if its possible or anyone has done thiws i would really apreciate the help thanks guys

The outer part of the axle must not be 36mm then. Usually the 36mm 5 lug conversion needs to be done with a dual cam and the correct axles. I've never seen the 36mm 5 lug on a single cam.
