95 GSR bogging...feels like it's being held back...need some help!
Ok, bought the car about 2 months ago. It's a 95 GSR with about 130k on it. The car has always (since I bought it) given me an issue when at low rpm's it will kind of miss or hiccup. Like if I cruise through a stop sign in second gear at like 1k rpm's. Then the past two days it started acting really weird.
The car doesn't want to rev (in gear) up and accellerate as it normally should. It feels like it's just being held back a LOT. It isn't missing or anything, just feels like the timing has been pulled or something and it's in limp mode...i don't know.
No CEL's...I checked for any stored as well.
Recently replaced, plugs, cap, rotor, wires, and fuel filter. Checked timing as well and it's spot on 16.
Anyone have any ideas? Maybe TPS, CPS, or some other sensor? I have no CEL's so I'm having a hard time thinking it's a sensor.
Distributor maybe? Is there a way to check the dizzy to see if it's working properly?
Thanks in advance guys.
PROBLEM SOLVED! Was WAY out of time. 10 degrees (roughly) instead of 16

This is completely normal, nothing to worry about second gear at 1000 rpm is too low to produce any power. Thats why it bogs. The more gas at the lower rpm like that will cause it to bog more. Try axcelerating very slowly it will yield better results.
I understand that, this is my 12th honda. It will bog and hesitate throughout the entire rpm range. It feels like a bad cap and rotor would feel. Like its pulling timing. I'm going to check fuel pressure this weekend and try to rule that out.
Fuel pump primes nice and loud, checked all sensor connections, checked for vac leaks...I'm stumped...

I floor it and it basically goes nowhere when this happens...and apparently it's an intermittent problem because half way home from work it ran perfectly...I'm sure it'll do it again...ugh!

I have a very similar problem... I've been searching for answers for over three years that I've owned the car. Started threads, replaced MANY parts, and rebuilt the engine to no avail.
Good luck to you sir

I would do a compression test.
I would check the TPS.
As mentioned, check fuel pressure.
How did you check for vacuum leaks?94

the TPS is just a potentiohmeter (pot, or variable resistor), take a meter and measure the resistance as you move the lever. If problem is intermittent then do it several times, the resistance change reading should be nice and smooth, if it is jumpy then replace it.
