Default craigslist horror story

bought a hydro " gsr " trans from a guy on craigslist. got home with the trans and noticed that where the shift linkage connects to the trans via the "bitch pin" was CUT!!!! i am guessing the guy couldnt get the pin and cut the linkage off. i can see a minimal part of the pin. on a scale of 1-10 how hard is it to replace that rod and about how much is the rod? i have never messed with a transmission before minus replacing clutches.

THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!

lol i know what i'd do. get my money back.

or keep the trans, and get back the cost of that rod. which i haven't looked up but it's probably close to what you paid for a craigslist tranny.

If you have decent mechanical skill its not too difficult. The part itself is not hard to find..I have plenty of them. Just going to depend on how much you paid and what the actual internal condition of the transmission is. While you are there, you can check to see if its actually a GSR trans.
