i am having a hard time choosing which cam to use. i have all stock internals and only and intake and full exhaust.

thanks for clearing that up. i have heard alot of good things about both and was having a hard time deciding which ones to get.

 

want not just a set of itr cams?

 

skunk2 over crower. skunk2 cams are proven to work well time and time again.

 

skunk2 crower dont make as good power everyone copies skunks profiles for there cams and still dont make the same power

 

skunk2 have a good uneven idle? or lope? im looking for that mean idle

 

id recommend some itr cams. you wont get a mean idle if your plans are just intake and exhaust. because that will limit you the the stage 1 cams, anything higher and you need to replace springs and retainers, but would be required to get a more aggressive idle.

 

if you want a mean idle go with the TODA Vtec killer cams

 

do you need new springs and retainers for those? i have seen a few videos of the killer cams and they do sound mean and full of power

 

i also dont know if i like the idea of getting rid of vtec. it seems like a power loser for a car with only an intake and exhaust.

I would get new springs and retainers with any new cams. But thats just me.

id have to agree with tight-r, cams are not something to buy just to hear them. but its your car so its your choice. also the vtec-killer cams... do not get rid of vtec.. they keep your car engaged in vtec, all the time.

okay see thats where i was getting confused. i was reading up on them and they said something about vtec that i didnt understand. im new to this and still learning i really appreciate all the help

ls vtec (< 11:1 comp).. bolt ons.. Cower 63402's with valvetrain

 

yes you would need a whole new valvetrain and you stay in vtec the whole time, and they make alot of power supposedly.

 

neither, get yourself a set of DDTECH cams over both of those junk cams

 

and do yourself a favor, stay away from crane cams lol

 

yeah last thing i need is a slip cam lol
