New generation K24 block (R40 series) from the Accord (also comes on the new TSX). It has 88mm bore, used 12.5:1 compression pistons, used BP rods, ACL race bearings, complete with R40 crank sensor. You will need the R40 intermediate shaft and alternator or even better if you already have the new Accord or TSX then it just swaps in.

Currently it has a Type S head on it with upgraded valvesprings and IPS K10 camshafts...never been started or used since rebuild.

depends on manifold and header used...I've gotten 280whp with my ips manifold and SSR header on a similar motor with PRB head...so all depends on combo

 

How many miles on the shortblock? Who assembled it?

 

I assembled it (built many race engines)...zero miles since assembly on block. Head has about 50k miles.

 

So the pistons and rods are used? Not too familiar with the newer k24 blocks, but the 88mm bore is not factory right? What kind of crank?

 

yes factory sleeved 88mm which is fine as i've used many on street motors in the past...the pistons and rods were used (but in mint condition), rings and bearings (ACL race) are brand new, bore and hone to 88mm was freshly done

block will need the newer K24 intermediate axle shaft, was able to use the regular RSX alternator and water pump on it...

 

Would you happen to know how many miles the pistons and rods have? What brand are the pistons? If I may ask, are you a mechanic?

 

pistons and rods had about 20 track passes and about 30 dyno pulls when they were in another block...yeah i build engines, tune, race, etc. as i've mentioned.

 

trade you the complete longblock and turbo kit for this if you get a tranny also lmk
