OEM Foglight Question
2) Running them that way is illegal in the US, if that matters to you.
i have been seeing around and hear alot about taking the power wire from the fog light and run it to a spot on the fuse box and did it and worked for like a sec and went out dont know if i blew a fuse..but would like to use the oem switch
Simple, pull the fog light switch, cut the red/yellow lead going to it, extend the lead from the switch long enough to reach the under dash fuse box, don't forget to cap off the other cut end as it is hot when head lights are on.
Now find the park light or the 2nd ign. "free pin" on the under dash fuse box and plug the extended fog light switch lead into the free pin.
Your done, the fog lights can be turned on as long as park lights are on ,[park light free pin] or when ign. is on and you can't forget them on. 94

cause i was free handing it like a idiot and it worked when i made contact then it went out and that pin doesnt work anymore so idk if the fuse to it blew or something
The only thing on your car that is not fused is the batt. lead to the starter motor, everything else is fused.
Which free pin did you use?
Is anything else in the car not working?94

Another simple method of independent fog-lights on this car:
1) disconnect battery neg terminal;
2) pull red/yel wire at fog-light switch and blank-off so it can't short-out (always best to simply pop the pin out of the body rather than cutting the wire);
3) tap into red-wht wire at fog-light relay, and run a new line to where the red/yel wire was on the fog-light switch;
4) reconnect battery.
Now both the relay and the switch are powered through the #19 fuse. You'll need to remember to turn the fog lights off when you leave the car.

Here is my db1

its the one in the pink connector...when i first plugged in it worked for like 4 sec then shut off...and all the other connectors turn on my headlights..
Yea it was kinda old. I have new side markers now and a white fender due to the fact that my old one was all dented.

It should be the fog light switch side cut end of the red/yellow lead, it sounds like you have connected the harness side of the cut red/yellow lead, [that if you put power to would turn on the head lights, [low beams], unplug the pink connector, turn on the head lights and test that white lead for power, if it has power when head lights are on, say DOH! and find the correct lead to extend and plug into the free pin. 94

You did cut the red/yellow lead and did not reconnect it, right?

OK, so where is the white wire with the pink connector coming from?

i was connecting the cut part to the pin lol did it the right way and worked now thanx again!
Your not using the park light free pin, [I do not see the park lights on] so are you using the 2nd ign. free pin or the 12V constant free pin, [not a good idea]?. 94
