removing quarter panel taillight
my 3 yr old dropped a 2x4 on it and broke the lens (dont ask)....
so i got a replacement from a local auto salvage
pulled the carpet back and went to work removing the electrical plugs and four 8mm mounting bolts


here it is refusing to come out

here is the replacement...notice a black metal tab on the bottom with what appears to be two mounting bolt holes

problem is, i cant seem to find access to this
anyways, just thought there may be a dealer mechanic on here...or someone who has done this before

Open the trunk lid.
Remove the rear bumper.
Disconnect the connectors (A) from the taillights (B).
Brake Lights/Taillights:
21/5 W
Rear Turn Signal Light:
21 W
Back-Up Light:
21 W
Rear Side Maker Light:
5 W
Turn the bulb sockets 45 ° counterclockwise to remove the bulbs.
Remove the nuts and screws, then remove the taillight.
Install the taillight in the reverse order of removal.
This is straight from Honda.
Remove the rear bumper.
Disconnect the connectors (A) from the taillights (B).

Rear Turn Signal Light:
21 W
Back-Up Light:
21 W

maybe this will be my first DIY thread, lol
found an awesome tutorial on doing the taillight and pulling the bumper on this much better website than hondatech, lol
