You'll need the cable assembly- good luck finding them- it gets harder and harder each year.

I know this is 7yrs old but this is a common issue on these cars and this is the first thread that comes up in google. I repaired this by plastic welding it. I used a heat gun to melt a bead around the crack. I then cut 3 pieces of stainless steel mesh and applied heat to it to sink it into the top and both sides of the arm. Finally I melted some nylon(zip tie) over the top of it all(not pictured). It has worked quite well and feels very strong.

Thanks for sharing. I had this happen and never thought it could be repaired strong enough. Glad you found a way to plastic weld it back together.

Without having my car in front of me right now, I’m guessing that white piece that was repaired is at the back of the track, correct?

Yes its at the back of the track, its responsible for lifting the sunroof to clear the actual roof of the car. I believe its called the Lift Link / Lift link arm.

I could make that out of abs if someone would be willing to send it to me.
I really don't know what I'm looking at, but I've made more complicated parts.

its not a rebuildable part. the piece of plastic is housed in a riveted casing that it difficult to remove without destroying the whole piece. the larger assembly is not rebuildable either. your cheap 3d printed solution is not really going to work.

I am going to guess that is the reason my sunroof doesn't seat correctly on the passenger side. I pulled the sunroof off and didn't notice one of those broken tabs, but I bet that is the culprit. I will have to take it off again this weekend and try that plastic weld trick.

when the white plastic is broken, the side will sag, but mostly still work as long as one side is still unbroken. it just tilts up the side, its not moving the sunroof back/forth. you might see a trail of scraped paint as some bolt hangs lower than it should since the white plastic is broken. dont ever put any weight on an open sunroof, it will break and the broken white plastic is the result.

when the black plastic end caps break off, the sunroof will come off the rails and get mechanically stuck.

It's not rocket science to grind or drill out rivets..in my case I use grinder took 30min. the part is 20 dollars for both new 3d printed. Dont dog the guy for trying to help

The 3d part comes in a 2 piece so u just cut the old plastic off careful not to damage the cable an screw in the new one

I just wanted to add my story to this thread. My sunroof would not sit down upon closure on the passenger side. I bought new bump stops and replaced those, even though they looked good as new when I took it apart. No luck. Called gregparts back and brought the white thingy brackets from him. This requires the headliner to be removed and entire assembly pulled to the bench. First time pulling a headliner so I was a bit nervous about popping and breaking all the clips. It was actually pretty simple with the crappy trim popping tools I have. Get it out, lay it on the bench, super excited to get it going. Look at the white lifters or whatever they are called and they are both fine and intact. Turns out the screw was basically falling out that holds that piece on. Maybe 1/5in. but still enough play that it couldn’t seat the roof. The drivers side was also loose as well, but not as much. Gave them a quick screw to tighten and installed it back and the sunroof is as good as new.
