Is Nitto 450 Extreme Performance A/S tire any good?
stay away. i wouldn't even touch them with a 10 foot pole. in terms of dry performance, they're worse than slicks in the rain. i've had more close calls with these tires than the stock michelin XGTs.
Stay away, they suck ***! I've seen the tread tear away from two different sets. One of them was mine. Personally, I would stay away from anything NITTO -
Thats funny cuz i have Nitto NT450 205/50/15s on my car and i think they handle very well. I hella mob turns and take **** fast and they grab nicely. (ex: 35mph turns at 70, etc.) Ne wayz ive had no problems with them except for the fact that they dont grab to great anymore, but thats just cuz ive abused to them

Brand new they felt great for afew weeks but after that they sucked. In the rain was even worse, maybe because the "aqua grooves" aren't really that deep. That is just my opinion.
You have to look at what your doing. I have them for daily driving and they are fine. The best thing I found on them is the wear. I have 22000 miles so far .

Yeah mine work great, could be because I'm not a racer though.
OK, everyone seems to diss these tires. If you like to just drive and once in a while take some "auto-cross" type driving, then your fine. Nitto is a company that is "almost racing", they are not real good. Pirelli's, Brigestone, are the way to go. Khumo's are a bang for buck type thing and really are the average of tires. Ask any tire shop, they recomend the potenzas or any bridgstones. You get what you pay for
i walked out from work today and found a big split in my front tire like dry rot and became a big whole (nt450), good thing I have my bran new azenis in my garage waiting my camber kit.
these tires are horrible, i would never get them again. Bad in the rain is an understatement, SCARY is a better adjective. Dry grip pretty much sucks too..
I havent had any problems in the rain. Then again I don't "street race" in the rain either. Everyone just loves Kuhmo becasue they come on Rotas. I really like the 450 and I even have some old 505s that are really good to. Both are 195/55/R15.
Yeah remember I said earlier they were good tires?
to me because just a couple of weeks ago one of them mothers blew out on me, good tire pressure too. Stupid Nitto

Nitto NT450 dry are o.k.
Nitto NT450 in the rain, normal driving-scary as hell.(as stated above)
Treadwear is good-have not had any problems with premature sidewall failure or belts separating. Have run these tires (new ones every 40,000 or so) for 120,000 miles. The price is right.

You can get 3X better tires for less money.
I've had both the Nitto 450 and Kumho 712. Both cost about the same price, but are completely different tires. The Nitto will last forever but don't expect much performance out of them. For the same price (or maybe a little less $$$) I'd recommend the Kumho's, they seem to grip a lot better.
