*IMPORT WARS #1 RESULTS*

Thanks to those who made it out for the first Import Wars this Sunday, and congratulations to all the class winners. Big thanks to our Class sponsors; ILL Garage and One-Sixx Tuning in Milwaukee for your support. Special thanks to Boomer @ Ores Action Photography for the Photos. If you are interested on professional photos of your car at GLD talk to our guy Boomer at 262-412-6138 or visit him at GLD every Import Wars. Now lets move on with the first parts of the results from Sunday!
Oscar from Chicago driving the “Pro Function” Tuned B Series EF takes home the win and the cash in the All Motor Class with an 11.53 pass @ 119mph vs…

Tony, also from Chicago who takes home the runner up money with a 12.6 pass in his EK. Congrats to both…

Unfortunately, we didnt have enough cars to run our Pro FWD and 10.50 classes, so some cars had to be moved to Super Quick. Anyhow things got interesting in this class. This K20 Powered EG, from ILL Garage originally was running the the Pro FWD Class but had no problem qualifying with a 10.7 pass in Super Quick.

But gets eliminated by the Blue “SI”, also visiting this class from the 10.50 unlimited in the first round due to a red light on the start in the first round of eliminations… Better luck next time! The “SI” Moves on to the next round, dialing in at 11.90.

Dales’ Evo from Grants Auto Service, Dialed in at 10.50, but confronted problems with third gear in the first round of eliminations vs…

Freddy, From Chicago who dialed in 11.90 in his Nissan 240Z with a 12.2 pass taking the win over Dale’s Evo in the first round…

Second Round starts with our number one qualifier (who got the bye on the first round) with a 10.65 pass right out of the trailer…. Prescott Philps driving the “Underdog” VW. But the VW hooked so nasty, it almost took down the tree with a crazy wheelie, giving the Blue “SI” the win.

Final Round… The Blue “SI” red lights at the starting line automatically giving Freddy the Win. Congrats to Freddy for the win…

My EK was also tuned at Profunction, hopefully I get to swap out the stock clutch and drop in a lsd before the next import wars nevertheless I had a lot of fun that day thanks to freddy
Because of the "rain" (that never came) and chill weather, the car count was not that great, but not horrible either. About 80 plus racers (most Test and tune), and it was the very first one this year. We are planing a "BIG" Event for July 7th and 8th, but it is still in the wood works. More info on this event coming real soon... Stay tuned. Thanks to those that made it to the last one and see you guys in May 20th..
