yes you will def notice a difference when I first switched mine out from stock I kind of didn't like at first because I felt like the gears were way to close but than I got used to it about 30 mins later and loved it lol what I like about skunk2 is that its made of steel that wont brake and doesn't brake or vibrate at first I had a cheap $15 ebay one because I thought there would be no difference and I had no cash but it was made of aluminum and would rattle like crazy and annoy me that I didn't even want to drive...skunk2 is def worth the money oh and yeah short shifters mean a short throw not an actual shorter shifter stick lol

^^ This is a very stiff shift!!! I like mine. I had so much slop on my old shifter I couldnt tell if I was in gear or not.

No, the ES bushings make it a firm shift.

How much of the throw do you think is reduced in the dual bend? I contacted skunk2 and they didnt have an answer. You think if anyone would know they would.

The shift is reduced the same regardless of the bend in the shifter.

The shift is also the same regardless of the length of the actual shift lever.

What changes the shift is the length of the points between the shift linkage and where the shifter bolts onto the stabilizer bar.

You can have a 3 foot long short shifter if you wanted, many road racers do.

I have a skunk2 dual bend and absolutely love it. One of the few things that kept the car fun while I saved money for 5 years for my swap. Easily one of the "essential" mods I have. That and the Recaros, (God, stock civic seats are awful)

One of maybe 3 products of Junk2 I will actually recommend, and also use in my own vehicles. It's flat out great. And I've used many short shifters over the years. I run their weighted **** too.

To elaborate on this, the closer the **** is to the steering wheel, the faster you can shift. Driving with one hand on the **** and one hand on the steering wheel is terrible form, stupid, and dangerous.

k-tuned's new short shifter > junk2

sure it's a little more expensive, but if it's anything like their k series shifter which i have, well worth it.

eBay has B&M dual bend shifters for $55 shipped... 1/3 the price of Junk2 does the same exact thing and same quality..

I've had my junk2 shifter for 6 years now and had no issues. A lot of people swear by them. it's 6 of one, half-dozen of the other. It's a pretty simple part.

I definitely like the heavy/comfy shift ****.

doood - cant find that shifter anywhere.

the skunk2 has a bearing where the shift linkage hooks up and the b&m doesnt. Does that bearing really make a difference
