EGR...I can't have one 3-stage vtec
Hi folks!
I have obtained an OBD2a P2J Manual ECU. I am wanting to mate it to my 3 stage. I have an Edlebrock intake manifold...with no egr possibility.
I need help understanding how to, if any way possible, bypass the ECU throwing a code for missing it.
I understand that the HX uses a 5 wire but the JDM 3 stage uses 3. I assume power, signal, ground.
I have traced in the haynes manual (for an HX) that the power is a 5v constant supply. The problem is that the ecu would recieve different signal based on the "lift" of the EGR. It looks like at optimum conditions it would recieve a signal of 4.3v. I can use a diode to make this happen, but I do not want to short the ECU (wattage), or kick a code during warm up that may leave me in limp mode.
Anyone out there bypass their EGR sucessfully?

Plug in a dummy egr valve. The ecu will command lift and open the egr the egr lift sensor will see the change in lift. I don't know if the jdm/edm ecus had the code for low egr flow so that may be the easy fix. You can hide the egr valve where ever you want.
