Default 98 accord ex 2.2 vetch misfire

My 98 honda had several misfire codes. I replaced plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.
Still acting funny I replaced fuel filter. (pain in the rear). I still have the same issue but only have p0301 code now. When started it purs like a kitten. then as you drive it the car starts to hesitate and check engine light will flash. If i give it gas the cel quits flashing. Also today I got on highway and set cruise at 70 and it did fine till I got off then same old same old. I also added a red bottle of lucus additive. This car sat for a year but has been fine since I started using it in december 2011.

Thanks in advance.

sounds like your cat. it could be clogged up. or your o2 sensors are shot!!!! making your run WAY to rich causing it to chocke and misfire due to the plugs being wet from fuel. can you take out the plugs and take a picture of the tips and post them? what color is the inside of the end pipe on the exhaust? does a lot of black soot come out when you run your finger in there? what type of plugs are you running? are they gaped? did they tell you there gaped and trusted them and installed them like that? today i did a 92 accord and they told me "they come pre-gaped" lol bs all 4 plugs were off. but to me your running rich. and the cel flashing means (STOP CAR IMMEDIATELY DANGER TO ENGINE AND CAT)

you need to figure out if its clogged cat or if your o2's sensors are shot? injectors staying shut. or not clossing all the way. or fuel pressure regulator could be shot. or you can have a leak on the regulator vacuum hose. and you test your cat you need a backpressure testing kit like in this video
