help 1994 accord
when i bought the car the guy told me it had a swap in it i did some research and found out my vin is for a lx body and back then lxs did not get vtec only ex modles. so my car either has a swap in it or it has a head swap. and yes it single cam vtec. i changed out my dis. cap and rotor. but did not help anything it still sputs along i put all new spark pugs wires the whole nine yards. my dad said it seem like no fuel is geting to the motor just enought for it to start and when its starts to do that i get it gas or down shift it and it will stop for a lil bit. I have to keep down shifting for it stop so sometimes i rideing in 2nd at 6000 for the sputting to stop ive even called a honda dealership and they want to charge me 105 dallors to test it i told them to go kick rocks. im not the best person at cars still learning. only here for advice on what and how to fixs this problem

ok sounds like you have a fuel problem. if the tips are black your running rich. but i need to see how exactly they look like. also since you got a swap. i need you to open the hood. once open look at the top of your valve cover. now find the top radiator hose. or to find it easier look at the left bottom side of the valve cover now look carefully at the block where it meets the head . there should be a flat area that says what block you have. as f22 h22 b16 etc. also we need pictures of your engine to make sure everything looks legit.
ok your not a trial user anymore. now your a honda-tech member. now you can post pics direct from your pc.
before we get to the o2 we need to rule out other possible problems and parts. not just go to the o2. the o2 can be bad due to the car running rich. and once you test that o2 and come back bad and he changes it and its still running rich its going to make that o2 bad as well and quick. its going to fill that new o2 with black tar. always start with the simple stuff. then move on down. 02 sensor should be the last thing to check.
ALLWAYS FIND THE EVIDENCE!!!! dont just throw random parts at it. im guessing your the type of person who checks for codes. and you get a o2 code etc. and you say..... oh its that sensor... well sir no its not. that sensor went bad because of a problem. or could be a shorted wire. etc. never assume. always FIND THE EVIDENCE!!!
no my car has no obd1 reader the guy guted the car before i got it and i have to work from 9am to 11pm so ill have to take pics tomarrow. i priced the fuel pump and fuel filter looking at 150$ but i went out side and listen for my fuel pump and i can hear it but my dad said it can be week. or the fuel filter can be stoped up well needless to say i cant change my fuel filter its under my brake booster. as soo as i get up to marrow i will tke pics and post them up here
Your Accord is an OBD1 Honda. OBD1 Accord has the diagnostic port under the passenger side dash. It will be a two pins connector under the passenger dash. Pull it out, jump the two pin connectors, if it has stored codes, the CEL will flash you some codes.
ok update i think i fixed what is wrong with it i bought a new dizzy. i drove it for about 3 hours tonight everything ran fine and i put some seefome in it to clear any thing in the fuel
