FUSE 19 under my dash went out the other day while driving. It's the instrument panel/cluster/tail light/corner light fuse. Check'd the wire's in the back of the stereo, pull'd out the radio and aftermarket harness, but still the fuse blows. Remove'd the harness that ran to the rear from the fuse box, still have same problem. Remove'd the instrument cluster and found exposed wires, fix'd the problem but fuse keeps blowin'. So it lead me towards being the wire that goes from the underhood fuse box running to the under the dash box being shorted some how. Any suggestions before I take apart the dash? Thanks.

 

did the exposed cluster wires cause any burning of the wire insulation?

 

No. No signs of any burns
