Default Header....I must choose, but choose wisely.

I have a 97 integra ls and for the most part its completely stock. For my first mod, i have decided to get a header, but am having a bit of trouble deciding on what i should get and where i should get it. What I do know is that i want a one piece, 4-2-1 header in stainless steal. Right now its between comptech and DC. Any suggestions on which route i should take? and where is the best place to get a good deal? Thanks for the help.

I would go with comptech. I have a DC and it doesn't fit right.

would you happen to know how much a jdm itr 4-1 would cost and where i could purchase one. And what exactly are the advantages of this header over, say, a comptech 4-2-1?

i have a comptech header and it's a quality piece. chose it over the 4-1 because of the mid-range gain it provides for daily street driving, coupled with the ls's natural midrange torque, it's pretty good from 3.5k to 5k for me

i wouldnt make a header your first mod. Go with a CAI, the gains are much better for the money especially.

get the comptech. It is totally worth the money, especially for your car. You would benefit more by gaining more low and mid end power.

Why would you want more low end power? You dont race your car in the low rpms so why get a header that makes power down there.. id say go with jdm 4into1 of dc jdm 4into1. either header will give you great mid and upper hp and torque..

What if he wants to autoX and not drag race.

Autox talent
drag racing no talent

so are you saying low end horsepower is not beneficial and should not be taken into account??

He would benefit more from a 4-2-1. If you know the power curve, you'll know what I'm talking about.
