Icon2 Crx swap ?

i got a 1990 crx, ive done some work to it already did a mini me swap d16z6 head and obd1 conversion but i want to go bigger

I want to go turbo on a b series motor but first i want to get a bseries motor in there lol wondering what kind of things ill need etc

i wanna go b20 vtec or non i already have all the wiring and ecu for vtec

if i could get enough money, was thinking to go b16 with low comp pistons

Will my plugs on my d series harness go onto b series plugs? or will i need a new harness, i have converted to obd1

What is gonna make this crx pull hard for $1500-$2000

also how does the hydraulic cluth get hooked up in a crx just thinking that might be something that would be extremly difficult to set up..

Piece of advice? Be carefull when you post questions about b series swaps, Bc you got ****** who whine and complain saying the info is everywhere. The way I see it is that this is a technical forum, so ask whatever questions you got, thats what it's here for. I'm not a complete noob but I'm like you, when you got a question, ask it. Good luck on your swap bro.

FOR 1500$-$2000.

MPFI if your car isnt already.

Pick up a b18 engine head/block, and a b16 tranny (if you can). That'll run you anywhere from $300-$600 depending.

Get a log exhaust header, or any form of header. Try not to break $400 with that (it doesnt matter too much, as long as all 4 pipes run into the turbo outlet).

Any Garrett t3/t4 turbo, be sure it's got NO shaft play (or very very little) unless you know how to rebuild turbos (you probably don't.) - $500

Your intercooler, BOV, wastegate, piping, etc, can probably be had for around $300.

You can probably trade your d16z6 for something to cut some cost. From there just get a tune. Don't break 250 hp on stock injectors and internals, or you'll blow your engine.

That's the setup I'm going to be running on an EF ('90), my friend had one that pulled 225 on the dyno at the wheels, and let me tell you, that thing had some good power.

Now if you want it to go *****-to-the-walls fast... put another $2000 into it. Better axles (hasports are great, but cost about $1000 for the 475 hp rated ones)
and get forged pistons, rods, crankshafts and camshaft. Which will run another $1000-$2000 (if not more) depending on the brand. Then just up your turbo to 400 hp or so, and enjoy unbuttoning every girl's shirt who gets in your car.

I agree. But there are some good guides that exist out there. But new info is always available.
