Ys1 91-92 gsr cable trans. And the early ls were ys1 as well just different gear ratio. I'm specially looking for the 91-92 ys1 gsr cable.

Y1 is the sir obd0 b16a trans not the ys1.

not quite right. ys1 is same code for both short gear gsr and the long geared ls. only way you would know is either by driving it or counting the teeth on the tranny.

92-93 is the correct year for the ys1 tranny. y1 and s1 is the for the 90-91 then you have the J1 (jdm) oddball which is also a b16 geared tranny

I have what I am 98% sure is a 92-93 Gsr trans with LSD for sale. I'll confirm the sticker/model tomorrow. It's in Oakley, ca... If interested.

Alright. Here is the story. I am selling the transmission for a friend (who is also a member on here). I am his personal mechanic and he wanted to change his CTR transmission with 4.7 final drive out for an OEM GSR transmission looking to lower fuel consumption. Not knowing much about cars he purchased this transmission. For obvious reasons, this cable 92-93 GSR transmission will not work with his hydro 2001 GSR. Thus the transmission is for sale.

He is located in Oakley, CA. The transmission is labeld as a "YS1". We did not install the transmission (obviously), so we are simply assuming based on the sellers word that it is in good working shape. It does "dry shift" fine with no problems. Everything in the pictures will be included in the sale. The linkage, the mount, the throw out bearing, everything.

I made a mistake earlier. The transmission DOES NOT HAVE LSD. If your interested in picking this up, contact me and I will arrange the transaction.

It's just gonna be hard to verify its is a gsr with out cracking it open if your not 100% sure because it could very well be a early LS. It all depends on price. I pmed you.

Well, I can get the tranny, crack it open and take a tooth count to verify the gear ratios.. Then the tranny will be in the Roseville area, not oakley. I've responded to all pm's and even sent a text to the one guy looking... No response.

Thanks for the heads up. That listing is for a b16 hydro tranny though. I'll get in contact with him and see if he has any y1 or ys1. thanks again.

Looks like a krylon overhaul. It's not even sealed with hondabond, just rtv.. I guess that "meets or exceeds" OEM specifications though. You have a picture of some parts, and a spray can finish... All for $800! Hell of a deal if I say so myself!

If anyone is interested, I should be getting this trans on Tuesday and will split the case and confirm what it is.

Well still looking turned out to be a LS trans. I need a ys1 or y1. I called tiger today they have quite a few but 1530.00 shipped that is insanely high. Called hmotorsonline as well they don't have any extra there all on motors at the moment.
