Default towing a short distance

I have a 96 Honda Accord with a manual transmission and I was wondering if I could tow my automatic 97 Honda Accord 40 miles with it. I would primarily use third gear at most and stay under 35-40 mph. I was driving the 97 last night and I hit a small animal on the expressway and damaged my radiator (hope I didn't warp the head because it overheated before I realized it and got off the expressway). I don't want to damage the engine on the 96.

Well I myself see nothing wrong with it, my dad had to push my car with his accord home a little bit because it kept dying.

Would be better if you had a truck or a trailer, but either way you should be okay. Just watch where you attach the tow hook / chain.
