Default bolt on da b18b1 cam swap?

i know the swap is possible and im looking into doing it for alittle extra dd power...
my only question is will my older valvetrain have anny issue's with such a slight cam upgrade?

also will my factory ecu be ok running this set-up? this is just a dd and im not looking too chop and tune it for such a small gain...

but if there is a gain no matter how small and the factroy ecu can take it and still be smooth and dd reliable i might take a sunday and install a set....

thanks guys

also and or will b20b cams be better? this is on stock intake manifold and tb also not sure if it matters

Youll be fine putting them in. IIRC its not much of a difference at all probably won't be noticeable

It is not a great idea, you are not going to notice that mod to much, It is better to expend the money in something else that is going to help you

if you're doing this for a learning experience, have at it. if you expect any gains, dont hold your breath.

no not for a learning experince no lol...not my first dance on engine work lol...
bascially out of boredness and i need too do a timing belt soon... for maintence...

basically as simple as this

if i had b18a1 cams layed out and b18b1 cams layed out and you had a choice between the two witch would you pick? if the answer is b18b1 cams i might do the swap just cause...if it wont hurt power im thinking im gonna do it...

i would need a tune/spring upgrade for that and im not spending that money for true aftermarket cams...if im gonna spend that much i will just do a vtec head swap...

So do you have them laying around or do you plan on buying them? If you plan on buying them and you already have a1 cams I wouldnt, only if you had them both laying around would it be a good idea

I believe the exhaust cams are the only difference and the intake intake cams are the same, so youll be good and don't need to buy anything.
