Play with a compression calculator (in the FAQ) and see what that combo will get you. I'd imagine it would be high considering the combustion chamber volume of the Z1. If I had anything worth saying to you, hold off on any notion of any swap/conversion until AFTER you have completed a MPFI conversion. This is the key to upgrading to anything and everything else later on down the road. Get that MPFI in and running properly then start thinking about what you want to do.

Still not gonna be quick. Its an eco head. I wouldn't mess with unless u plan on getting better gas mileage.

the z1 head is the best head change the camshaft and rocker assmbly to z6 ur comp ratio would be about 10.5.1 best head to use cause of the small combustion chamber

Planning on doing the same thing. I have a vx and the engine is burning crazy oil. I was originally planning on a full rebuild but came across a mint d15b1 and long story short i figured that i can use the block and swap the head and everything should be good. Im not looking for a sport monster just a reliable motor. Just looking for possible problems that i should expect, maybe this isnt even possible. Thanks guys.

They will physically bolt together but the piston tops are different (as is the stroke of the crankshaft and rod length). Not sure how this will effect things or if that's even your intention.

I figured that as much. I should hope that the engine will still turn and run. Planning on starting this thing next week end. We shall see how it goes. Any other advice or heads up would be appreciated. Thanks again.
