so is there anyway to fix such a small dent yrself instead of taking it to the body shop

and what is that little piece of thing called? maybe ill just get a new one

Taillight corner filler trim. Personally, I would just order a new one, unless you got some mad body work skills.

 

If you can remove that piece and get a good angle to work at it, i think you could pop it out relatively easily with a hammer and dolly, but as he said above it might just be easier to order a new one...the dents not horrible, it's just in a bad location and after it's all said and done with possibly having to repaint chipped parts/bondo if needed, it's not worth it

 

if its a plastic piece just take it off, heat it with a heat gun then massage the dent out.

If its metal you could probably work it out by hand but it wouldn't look perfect without filling and painting it because its creased
