Just in case your car came without the factory harness and you don't know how to wire up a new harness.

my setup is a stock 00 radio in an 88 civic, but should work for all just as long as you get the proper MY harness

Purchase a Reverse Wiring Harness from Best Buy, etc. $15+tax

2nd Color is a Stripe
Car Wire - Harness
brown/black - gray/black
gray/black - white/black
black - black
gray/white - green/black
blue/yellow - green
brown/white - purple/black
red/yellow - purple
red/green - gray
blue/green - white
red/black - orange/white
yellow/white - blue

now the color of the wire for the constant power and ignition may vary, but this is what i used

white/blue - yellow
yellow/red - red

good info..considering the age of our cars and the very real fact that previous owners will have butchered the oem harness all in the pursuit of better sound good call......

where were you a month ago!?!?!? i couldnt find the info i needed to wire up my radio because the previous owner hacked the wires all up...i spent a good couple of hours into the night with a volt meter labeling the different wires...after some good trial and error, and a couple of blown fuses, got everything to work out
