Been running wheel spacers for a while? Talk to me..
I'm looking to hear from people who have been running wheel spacers for some time.
Any ill effects? What's life like with them? The good the bad the ugly! I'm thinking of 10mm and 15mm for my non-Honda.
Thanks

Well, we don't really cover non-Honda vehicles here (as stated in the Forum Rules). But, in regards to spacers, you can only run a 6-8mm spacer on stock lug studs before running in to issues with having enough threads to tighten a wheel down properly. You'd need extended lug studs to get up to a 15mm spacer. Any larger than 15mm, and you'd need studded spacers.
As for their durability, they handle just fine for daily driven vehicles... but I wouldn't recommend them for sustained track use.

Had 25mm H&R Hubcentric spacers on the rear of my road-driven S14 for about 4 years now. No problems to speak of.
Don't cheap out on your hardware though.

One car has ARP extended lugs with hubcentric spacers, no probs. Other car has thick spacers with pressed in lugs (in the spacers), no probs.
There's nothing wrong with spacers if it's done right. It's just a chunk of aluminum, so if there's no play anywhere and everything is lined up, then the spacer should last as long as the car.
