Well, when I press the sunroof switch it will not make any noise as if the motor is trying to open and obviously the sunroof will not retract. It's been this way since I bought it.. What im trying to figure out is that if the motor is bad or a bad relay. I have tried searching but the only threads that come up are ones in which the sunroof will move if only a little but. Mine doesn't any help will be appreciated. I do own a multi-meter so if anyone has info on which wires to check so i can trouble shoot let me know.

 

Mine JUST started doing this the other day. Was working fine, and now it clicks but wont budge..

 

A little confused, it makes no noise and seems as if its trying to open? Or it makes a noise as if its trying to open? If u hear no noise it could be either the relay or the motor, if u can hear a noise its most likely the motor.

 

No noise, no movement. It's as if I wasn't pressing on the switch at all.

 

Sounds like the relay.

 

Sorry for the super late reply, I switched the relay out for a known working one and nothing.

 

Did you check the fuse? Check the switch after that. Try jumping the connector to see if it will open. Reply with year and trim and I'll try to get you the color wires that need to be jumped to bypass the switch.

 

Fuse is good and the switch has also been replaced with a known working one. 94 LS.

Try spraying some wd40 on the sliders and see if that helps

 

Does it operate with the hand tool?
