Default 100% OEM suspension issue. Ideas?

Recently bought a 06 NHBP-S. 100 % stock.

It has developed a strange clunking/rubbery/dull springy sound grinding kind of noise from the right front wheel area.

It only makes this noise when the car is not moving and i guess cold, and only I turn the wheel. It doesn't do it while moving.

I have checked all boots, no grease/oil leaks, all clean. Spring is seated correctly on both sides.

Ideas?

so when you are at a red light or a stop sign and you turn the wheel you hear a clunk sound? But not while for instance turning right off an on ramp or green light etc?

Right, on any other situation there is no noise, only when completely stopped. Its a "rubberized" clunk, somewhat dull sound when turning the steering wheel.

jack up the front end. If you don't know what you are looking for exactly do this...

Take off both passenger and driver wheels... start grabbing parts, twist and shake and compare sides.

I'd check your tie rod ends. Make sure it hasn't gone bad. Grab it and move it. then start grabbing other misc parts and compare sides

Sounds kinda like this. Sometimes louder, others a bit quieter.

Weird. I can definitely hear a mechanical clunking type noise. At first I thought it could be something to do with your power steering pump but now I'm not sure. I would inspect your control arms, bushings, tie rods, etc.

Here is what's going on. I set up my iPhone under the car to record, lucky strike I captured the noise. Around the 50 sec -55 seconds you can see the spring rotate and make the clunk.

Based on the first video, it sounds like a tie rod end to me.

The second video I didn't hear anything lol

I have the same problem and one of my tie rod boots is busted. Just have to get around to replacing it.
