Tryin to do a mini me swap in my ef I am useing my block with a y8 head, I am tryin to put tha timing belt on but it's too big I was told if I change the cam gears with the one off the a6 and put it on the y8 head it wouldnt effect the timing but I am not sure any help would be much appreciated

 

Your supposed to use the timing belt that matches the head. Atleast from what I remember.

 

But someone told me that the y8 block was longer or somethin like that but I l give it a shot n see if that works thanks
