Anyone know about elec. window regulators & motors
I had a appointment to get my windows tinted this morning but since my left rear window does not go up or down the guy told me I had to reschedule. So I head to the local u-pull-it and get a motor. The lady there tested it and ran it down a little to show it worked. I came home and installed it . First time I hit the switch it was about 2" from being up all the way. So it runs all the way up and thats it. Then nothing. I got out my test light and I have power to the switch but still no operation. I thought maybe the switch was bad so I ran a jumper wire and still nothing. So I go to this parts house that just deals in honda parts and get another regulator and motor. Put it on ran the window all the way up and then again nothing after that. Break out the test light again, have power to the switch still. Again I break out the jumper wire and still nothing. I know this may sound weird but its like the regulators are going up to high and getting stuck. After I removed them and then tried ti put them back in so the window would be held up its like they are up to high and I can not get the bolts back in the window or the regulator. Any help would be appreciated...

For the life of me I can not figure this out. I have tried 4 different window motors. I used a test light and checked where the motor plugs in at. When operating the switch I have power at one wire going up and power at the other wire going down yet when I plug the motors they will not go down but 3 of them have gone up to the top and that was it. What is happening here? Does anyone know how this system is grounded? Where the motor plugs in at there are only 2 wires. One is for up ,the other is for down. I thought the motor may be self grounding so I bolted every thing up and still no down. I thought the switch may be bad so I tried jumping across it and still nothing. Also thought the rear window lockout on the drivers switches may be bad so I ran a jumper wire across it and still nothing. This has me totally baffled. This is the left rear window I am having a problem with. If it could have anything to do with it the right rear window works sometimes and other times it does not. PLEASE HELP!!!
Well it turned out to be a bad connection where the motor plugs into the wiring harness.Everything looked fine but I bent the prongs over just a tad bit, plugged it back in and the window goes up and down now.
You need a factory ETM But any way on this type of moter power and gnd is switched back and forth to reverce the thing So in up one wire should be 12V and one wire is Gnd And in down the 2 wires just switch around get it? and you need a good amount of power also Want a good trick? take a old head lit add 2 wires to it remove the conector going to the moter NOW make the lite the moter If the lite comes on bright you are 1/2 of the way thair put one end of lite to gnd and prob each of the 2 wiers in up and down does the lite come on now put one wire of lite to power and do the same thing lite should come on when up and down is used This will prove that wireing going to window is
