Default B16a2 head onto GSR block wiring HELP

Hi guys from H-T,

I've recently picked up a b16a2 (OBD2) head for my spare b18c1 (OBD1) block. And I need to know what wiring would I need to use? I have a chipped P30 ECU (OBD1, with ITR base map).

I just have a few questions to be asked, anyone with past experience, I'd appreciate it if you can add in thanks;

Would I need to use an OBD2 complete wiring harness + OBD2 > OBD1 conversion harness to go with the ECU?

Or can I re use my OBD1 GSR complete wiring harness to fit?
Would I be able to use my GSR OBD1 Dizzy?
Can I use GSR fuel rail + injector plugs + injectors on a ITR Intake Manifold?

Is there anything else I need to know while going this way?

Thanks for any help guys

You have to match your distributor and injectors with your harness, so since you have all your obd1 stuff use that. As for the fuel rail, im not sure.

You can use all your obd1 stuff on the obd2 head. The Skunk2 IM is the exact same as the ITR and my stock gsr fuel rail bolted right onto it when I still had the S2 mani.

Thanks for the replies guys awesome help.

mouab18c1;
Was the Skunk2 IM suited for GSR head or B16/ITR head?

Can I reuse my GSR fuel rail/injector plugs/injectors on a b16/ITR head?

Yes it was for the gsr head. But it's identical to the ITR manifold. You can reuse all the stuff you listed.

Thanks mouab18c1.
I've read that the GSR fuel rails sits higher than other b-series because the intake manifold sits lower, is this true?

Can I still reuse the fuel rail or do I have to get a ITR / aftermarket c5 rail to use with my obd1 gsr injectors etc.

Thanks for the food help mouab18c1.

Will I run into any other problems when I'll be using the ITR P73 Intake Manifold with the OBD1 wiring? Eg: sensors etc

I'm kinda doing a similar build bought some itr pistons, I'm going with some ls/b20 rods nd arp rod bolts.. My question is should I keep my gsr head or should I trade it 4 a b16? Nd I was also thinking about spraying a 75 shot just 2 b safe.. I was just wondering is my motor would hold up with that comprssion on a 75 shot?

ummm. are you using an ls crank also? because that won't work on a gsr crank.
