I have a 96 coupe DX... i recently swapped the floor harness of a 96-00 civic ex and i dont know why but ive been having a few issues with some electrical problems..

1. gas gauge is a bit weird, it wont tell me exactly where my gas is at. it will go full one day then the next to half way. (i already know how much gas i have since i keep record of my miles and all)

2. Every time i turn on my headlights and once i put the parking brake down... my gauge cluster just "dies" and the high beam and turn signal indicators stay on, not blinking, but stay on. so i have to leave the parking brake up a bit to make sure everything works. Oh btw when this happens, if i try to signal left or right... the outside signals will not turn on at all..

I dont know if its the harness or what... :/

any suggestions?

 

check ur ground theres a ground in ur dashboard right next to where the steering wheel is iside ur dash though.. if not i would try look at engine grounds because i have this problem but with different stuff like me speedo will only work if lights r on and hone doesnt work unless the engine is off and it all was solved by adding a trasmission ground

if you dont mid me asking y u change harnest to ex one whats was wrong with ur dx one?

 

i will give a look to my grounds whenever i have a chance.

I switched them because i want to convert my manual windows to power window...
