Default anyone fitted their own big brake coversion (front)?

I'm thinking on buying a big brake set up for the front of my integra, has anyone done this before themselves? just a few questions:
1. Is it as easy as taking of the caliper, bolting on the extension plate, fitting the rotor and putting it all back together, if not what is involved?
2. Will stock/OE pads work ok on bigger rotors, the ones i'm thinking on getting are 13" or do i need to source bigger pads?
3. Are there any common problems with big brake conversions?

thanks in advance.
