Default ef8 hydro conversion clutch question

hey all i own a Honda crx sir ef8 i am gona swap my cable trany to a hydro ek4 trany duno the trany code but i was thinging if i can keep my current clutch that is in gr8 shape is it possible or i need a new kit for ek4 ?

it all depends on if the splines on the input shaft on the hydro trants match up to the clutch

how can i know that ? i am trying to avoid buying a new kit . i am in a tight budget
i have to buy mounts from us to and pay for labor

count them lol! find out the spline count on the ek4 trans then count yours and compare. the clutch is the least of your worries in a full hydro swap.

i have everything dude exept mounts i have to order them to . the only thing is that i can dissemble the car now just to see if the clutch match that y i am searching

Too many newbs in here. They are both obviously 24 splines. The DIAMETER of the input shaft is what is different. The diameter of the clutch disc itself will work either way but it will either not fit or spin freely on the shaft (depending on which way you are "converting" to).

CABLE:
Spline Count = 24
Spline Diameter = 24.6mm
Disc Diameter = 220mm

HYDRO:
Spline Count = 24
Spline Diameter = 26.2mm
Disc Diameter = 219mm

I am going off memory, but I know for a fact this information is EASILY searchable...

i am going from cable to hydro and i am trying to keep my clutch kit so i dont go buy new 1 my current is good . according to your info i only need a disk ?
